The Financial Times went to Nikkei for about 855 million British pounds, or about $1.3 billion, in cash. Pearson sold its 50 percent stake in the Economist Group, publisher of The Economist, for £469 million, or about $715 million, to the Economist Group itself and to Italian group Exor. —SW
