SF Appeal is an online news organization in San Francisco.
The Appeal was launched in March 2009 by Eve Batey, a former San Francisco Chronicle editor. (It calls itself “San Francisco’s online newspaper.”) The site has about two dozen contributors.
The Appeal is a for-profit site, with revenue coming in through advertising. Its content centers on entertainment, media and local politics. As of September 2011, the site was receiving an average of about 170,000 unique visits per month.
