Andrew Phelps joined the Nieman Journalism Lab as a staff writer in March 2011. Previously, Andrew was the first full-time reporter for wbur.org and the founding host of WBUR’s news blog, Hubbub. Andrew is a regular contributor to NPR and a former reporter and anchor for KPBS, San Diego’s public broadcaster. He is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, and Palomar College. She was formerly a staff writer at the Columbia Journalism Review, where she reported on the future of news for CJR.org’s News Frontier section. Megan holds an honors B.A. in English from Princeton University and an M.S. from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism, where she’s served as an adjunct professor. In 2010, she won a Mirror Award for excellence in media coverage. She plays a quartzy game of Scrabble.
