The New York Times on Wednesday plans to print at least 225,000 extra copies and will sell papers outside its headquarters (though because newsstand sales have declined since 2008, the paper is sending out fewer papers overall). Last week, the Chicago Tribune printed 700,000 extra copies after the Cubs’ triumph and was selling a “World Series” edition of the print paper on its website.
