Thanks to a $10 million gift from Craig Newmark Philanthropies announced Thursday, the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY will cover full tuition for half of its class starting in August 2025.
Angwin is part of a new leadership team: Nabiha Syed, formerly associate general counsel at BuzzFeed, will be president, and Evelyn Larrubia, who was executive editor of Marketplace, will be managing editor.
The majority of the site’s editorial staff resigned this morning, and the future of a much-anticipated watchdog for technology companies is very much in doubt.
